If the crumbs show symptoms of stomatitis in the mouth (redness, sores, inflammation), you should consult a doctor. But before communicating with a medic, reduce discomfort rinsing will help.

What formulations will be useful for children:

  1. Propolis tincture. It is necessary to dilute a small spoonful of the product in 250 ml of water. It is good to alternate this rinse with iodine solution (three drops per 250 ml of water). These treatments can help reduce inflammation and heal wounds.
  2. Soda solution. For 250 ml of warm water, you will need two pinches of powder. This composition is used not only to get rid of stomatitis, but also for antiseptic treatment of nipples, toys and nipples of a nursing mother.
  3. Egg white. It contains substances that help to disinfect and dry sores. To rinse, beat the protein and combine with 120 ml of warm water.
  4. Carrot or cabbage juice. Used only freshly squeezed, half-and-half water.
  5. Tincture on onion peel... Even advanced inflammations are treated with it. For 250 ml of water, you need three small spoons of husk. They are boiled over low heat for a quarter of an hour. Then it is infused for seven hours, filtered and, if necessary, diluted with warm water.

Rinsing should be done three to four times a day. After the sores have completely healed, the child should rinse his mouth for a few more days until he fully recovers.

Herbal decoctions and infusions

Stomatitis in children at home is treated with medicinal plants. Decoctions and infusions are used both for rinsing the mouth and for treating the affected areas. The most suitable raw materials are:

  • Erythematosus flat-leaved (grass);
  • Calendula (flowers);
  • Marsh calamus (root);
  • Chamomile (flowers);
  • Oak (bark);
  • Cinquefoil (root);
  • Blackberry (leaves);
  • St. John's wort (herb).

Any plant from this list is taken dry, crushed and infused until it cools in the proportion: one small spoon per 250 ml of boiling water.

For viral stomatitis, an anti-inflammatory tincture of rose hips, sage and birch leaves (3: 2: 1) is suitable for lubricating ulcers. A large spoonful of crushed raw materials must be filled up in a half-liter thermos. Filter after three hours.

A flaxseed decoction will be especially useful if a child's stomatitis has affected not only the mouth, but also the throat. A large spoonful of seeds is poured with 250 ml of boiling water and simmer on a low flame for a quarter of an hour. After cooling, the composition will take the form of a jelly. It can be used for gargling or compresses. Not recommended for preschool children.

When acute period will subside, accelerate recovery and strengthen protective system a decoction of dried berries will help. Raspberry, sea buckthorn and chokeberry are taken in equal proportions and ground into powder. Calendula flowers are added to the composition and brewed in a half-liter thermos (you will need four tablespoons of plant materials). After a couple of hours, the infusion must be filtered and used for rinsing after meals. This product is safe and allowed even for babies, since it is completely non-toxic if swallowed.

In order not to suffer with decoctions, you can use ready-made preparations for the oral cavity on plant based: "Stomatofit", "Rotokan", "Ingafitol" and others.

Homemade ointments and healing oils

Based on the products that are in every kitchen, you can prepare ointments against ulcers and inflammations:

  • Recipe number 1. Garlic is thoroughly chopped and mixed with sour cream. Homemade ointment is treated with sore areas or, in case of extensive inflammation, it is simply kept in the mouth until it is completely dissolved. This remedy will not work for babies under two years old.
  • Recipe number 2. Raw potatoes are peeled and mashed using a blender. They lubricate the affected areas.
  • Recipe number 3. A large spoonful of vegetable oil is mixed with novocaine (one ampoule). Then beat with egg white. Also used to treat inflammation and ulcers.

Inflammation in any form of the disease will remove the juice of aloe or Kalanchoe. You can simply let the crumb chew on the leaf or grease the sore spots with juice (even the smallest are allowed to do this). On the basis of such juice and soda, it is easy to make an anti-inflammatory ointment: you just need to mix the funds in equal proportions.

Also, the affected areas can be treated with rosehip, peach or sea buckthorn oil. Natural products will soften unpleasant sensations and contribute to the rapid healing of wounds.

Treatment of stomatitis with honey

Natural honey has excellent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. How to treat stomatitis in crumbs with this product? The easiest way: give your baby a spoonful of sweet medicine so that he dissolves it for about five minutes. You can lubricate sores, wounds and inflamed areas with honey.

Anti-inflammatory and pain relieving ointment

Raw egg white, three small spoons of warm honey, a couple of drops of vegetable oil, an ampoule of novocaine. Mix thoroughly and lubricate the ulcers.

Healing and softening honey balm with viburnum

Equal amount of viburnum puree and honey. Give to the child to suck.

Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory compresses with aloe

Grated aloe leaf and honey in a 1: 1 ratio. Mix, let it brew and saturate the tampon with the agent. Put on the affected area for 15 minutes. Rinse your mouth with herbal decoction.

Antiseptic gargles with chamomile

A tablespoon of herbs, half as much honey and a glass of boiling water. Insist vegetable raw materials, filter and mix with a beekeeping product. Rinse your mouth three times a day.

Not all formulations are suitable for treating young children. It is not recommended to use traditional medicine for babies. Certain remedies are not worth trying on children at all. So, brilliant green, blue, hydrogen peroxide can irritate the mucous membranes. And some plants - allergic reactions... Therefore, the treatment of stomatitis in children with folk remedies should be under medical supervision. It should be noted that recipes with honey are not suitable for children with allergies to bee products.
