Reference to the conference call on measures to improve the condition of regional and municipal roads.

Currently, the public road network in Russian Federation has a total length of 1,452.2 thousand km, of which 51.9 thousand km are federal roads, 515.8 thousand km are regional roads, and 884.5 thousand km are local roads. There is no hard surface on 8.1% of regional roads and 43.6% of local roads. 64.4% of regional roads and 29% of local roads have improved pavement of the carriageway, capable of passing the flow of trucks, regardless of weather and climatic conditions.

63.6% of the length of federal highways, 38.8% of the total length of regional roads and 31.6% of the length of local roads meet the regulatory requirements.

Currently, nine agreements have been signed in the amount of 3.827 billion rubles (Bryansk Region, Lipetsk Region, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Republic of Chuvashia, Republic of Buryatia, Omsk Region, Amur Region, Primorsky Territory, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)).

The provision of subsidies and interbudgetary transfers for the implementation of road activities in relation to regional and local roads is currently carried out both targeted - for specific road facilities, and in aggregate - for the implementation of activities provided for by regional programs.

May 24, 2016 An accurate and unambiguous answer to the question “where are the best roads in the world?” does not exist. Since there is no single understanding of the word "best", different experts put different meanings into it...

Some consider the width and number of lanes to be the main indicator of the quality of roads, others consider the number of sharp turns per kilometer of the road, others consider the quality of asphalt, and others consider the average speed.

Therefore, the list of the four countries with the best roads, which we publish here, is rather conditional and is based on various sources.

Switzerland

The centuries-old habit of the inhabitants of this mountainous country to make everything of the highest quality, whether it be watches, cheese or knives, is also noticeable when driving along the local roads. The reviews of tourists are mostly enthusiastic - the roads in Switzerland are in perfect condition and are laid very skillfully, while driving you often forget that you are driving through mountainous areas. True, tunnels are often reminded of this - there are more than 200 of them in this small country. But you have to pay for the excellent quality of Swiss roads, and not per kilometer, but according to a kind of subscription - a “vignette”, which is issued for a year and is attached to each car.

Germany

The Germans themselves to the question "where are the best roads in the world?" confidently answer - in Germany. After all, it was here that the autobahns were invented - high-speed roads with a barrier or in some other way separated by oncoming traffic flows. The recommended speed on the autobahn is 130 km/h, but this is just a recommendation - there is no official speed limit on autobahns here. And since speed is the main advantage of the autobahn, the maximum slope of the roadway should not exceed 4%. As for the strength of the road surface, it is provided by a web thickness of 55-58 cm, which allows even such a giant as the Boeing 747 to land on autobahns.

The construction of high-quality highways in the United States has always been a priority in the economic policy of the government of this country. Indeed, unlike Europe, most of the flow of goods and passengers in the United States falls not on rail, but on road transport. The total length of highways in the United States is the largest in the world - more than six million kilometers, of which expressways (here they are called "interstate") - more than 76 thousand kilometers.

China

In terms of the length of roads, the Celestial Empire ranks second, after the United States, in the world - almost four million kilometers. Moreover, the quality of Chinese roads, according to experts, is not satisfactory. The Chinese government is investing heavily in development road network countries, solving the complex and ambitious task of reaching the first place in the world in terms of the total length of roads.
