Symptoms and treatment of internal herpes. Where to treat herpes on the lips and genital? A tip for the sick How effective these drugs are

  • Date: 01.07.2020

All types of herpes infection are harmful to human health, but internal herpes, the symptoms of which are often hidden, can cause the greatest damage to the body. The herpes virus is familiar to everyone, because 95% of the population are carriers of it and it is diagnosed in almost all people over 40 years old. Everyone knows the manifestations of the herpes simplex virus (HSV) in the form of fever on the lips, this is the easiest manifestation of the infection. Science knows about 100 subspecies of this virus, in humans there are 8 varieties of this family of viruses that affect the skin and mucous membranes. In practical medicine, herpes of internal organs is quite rare, but it is the most dangerous and severe form of the disease.

With a rash on the lips and mouth (the first type of HSV), the infection can invade the trachea, lungs, and esophagus. With genital lesions (the second type of HSV), the disease may spread to the genitourinary system of men and female organs: the vagina, uterus and ovaries. The most dangerous are diseases of internal organs caused by cytomegalovirus (the fifth type of HSV). Spreading through the body with the flow of blood and lymph, it affects the most vulnerable areas with reduced immunity. With the onset of favorable conditions associated with a general weakening of the body and concomitant diseases, the herpes virus activates and causes serious damage, destroying the body from the inside.

Internal herpes symptoms

Identifying the disease seems to be quite difficult. Symptoms (fever, weakness, headache) are rarely associated with fever in the mouth, nose, or lips. A person does not suspect that lingering bronchitis or inflammation of the genitourinary system is directly related to the activation of internal herpes. If the external manifestations do not disappear within 2 weeks or longer, there are obvious symptoms of abnormalities in the work of the body, then this should be the reason for contacting a doctor who will decide how to determine herpes. A complex of clinical and laboratory studies is being carried out - general and special. For proper treatment, you will need to pass PCR and ELISA tests, which identify the causative agent of the disease and antibodies to it. If the virus is inactive, then in the blood it is determined by low levels, in the acute period it is much higher than normal. Symptoms of damage to internal organs resemble the classic signs of the following internal diseases:

  • damage to the esophagus;
  • damage to the pulmonary tract;
  • genitourinary diseases;
  • types of hepatitis;
  • herpes of newborns;
  • herpetic encephalitis.

Herpes - causes and treatment. Why is the herpes virus dangerous?

Herpetic lesion of the esophagus is characterized by difficulty in eating, discomfort in the diaphragm, weight loss. Endoscopic examination reveals rashes and ulcers on the walls of the esophagus.

If untreated, irreversible changes occur in the walls of the esophagus, the lesion reaches the intestine. The pulmonary form of the disease has symptoms similar to the usual: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chest pains. Diagnosis of herpes pneumonia can be difficult, because herpes of the lungs and pulmonary tract, as a rule, is accompanied by bactericidal and fungal infections.

Modern urological and gynecological examinations make it possible to visually identify internal herpes, the symptoms of which are typical for this type of disease: discomfort during urination, discharge, temperature, pain in the lower abdomen.

Modern urological and gynecological examinations make it possible to visually identify internal herpes, the symptoms of which repeat those typical for this type of disease.

Lower abdominal pain is one of the symptoms of internal herpes.

When referring to a liver disease, the doctor should be alerted to the presence of a temperature in the initial stage, which is not typical for typical hepatitis.

Patients go to the doctor, who, upon seeing or suspecting the presence of herpes during the examination, prescribes additional tests. Most often, herpes aggravates the course of chronic diseases of the genitourinary system and requires complex treatment.

When a patient addresses a liver disease, the doctor draws attention to the presence of a temperature in the initial stage, which is not typical for typical hepatitis. All other signs (jaundice of the skin and sclera of the eyes, enlarged liver) remain the same.

The clinical picture of herpetic hepatitis resembles the course of hepatitis B and C. The duration of treatment of the disease, complications and difficulties in restoring the body lead to suspicion of specific liver damage, determined by herpes analyzes.

In most cases, it is possible to extinguish the outbreak of infection, but the advanced stage of the disease threatens to develop liver failure.

What happens to the nervous system?

With intrauterine infection, a child can be born with damage to the central nervous system, brain and other internal organs. Also, herpes can be transmitted to a child through the passage of an infected birth canal and through infection from the mother while breastfeeding. External signs in the form of rashes may be absent or appear in the later stages of the disease. Urgent treatment is required, since changes in internal organs can be fatal or make the child a severely disabled person. Therefore, when registering, pregnant women must pass herpes tests; with a planned pregnancy, it is better to do this in advance and undergo a course of treatment.

When the central nervous system is damaged, the virus travels along the nerve trunks, entering the cerebral cortex, then affects the brain stem and both hemispheres. The symptoms of such herpetic encephalitis are pronounced, completely coincide with the clinical picture of brain inflammation. This is a high fever, convulsions, clouding of consciousness, in severe cases - a coma. It is possible to understand that it is herpes of the brain only by special tests and by taking a puncture of the cerebrospinal fluid. Serious damage is done to the brain, even if the outcome is favorable, there may be residual effects such as mental retardation, seizures up to epileptic seizures or decreased motor activity. This condition of the patient requires prompt hospitalization and emergency treatment.

Treatment of herpes of internal organs

Treatment of the disease is often carried out in a hospital. Very often, seeking medical help occurs when the virus has already caused severe damage to the body and emergency measures are required. To combat the disease, complex therapy is used, aimed at suppressing the virus itself and treating the affected organ with specialized drugs. When contacting a specialist, an immunogram is taken, which allows you to accurately determine which immunomodulators will be optimal in a particular case.

When diagnosing cytomegalovirus, the drug Cytovir is used.

Currently, there are dozens of drugs designed to drastically reduce the activity of the virus. If herpes simplex type 1 or 2 is determined by laboratory means, then the main medicine is Acyclovir and its numerous derivatives in the form of ointments, tablets, injections and suppositories. When diagnosing cytomegalovirus, drugs such as Cytovir, Cytarabin, Ganciclovir and other immunostimulants are used - it all depends on the chosen treatment regimen.

It is impossible to destroy the herpes virus, you can only extinguish the outbreak of the disease and restore the affected organs. With the right treatment, the prognosis can be favorable, although the process is long and demanding.

Herpes of internal organs is deadly for people with reduced immunity, the risk group includes:

  • infected pregnant women;
  • AIDS patients;
  • cancer patients;
  • patients with diabetes mellitus;
  • people who have gone through therapeutic suppression of immunity;
  • people who have received blood transfusions.

Blood transfusion lowers a person's immunity.

Herpes of the internal organs is deadly for people with reduced immunity; patients with diabetes mellitus are at risk.

Infected pregnant women belong to the group of people with reduced immunity.

What happens to immunity?

Pregnant women have reduced immunity, and this provokes an outbreak of the disease. It is impossible to fully treat the disease during pregnancy, because it can harm the baby. In organ transplantation, immunity is artificially reduced in order to avoid transplant rejection. In patients with leukemia and AIDS, it is almost impossible to exclude immunodeficiency. In diabetes, many drugs are contraindicated, the treatment regimen has limitations for a chronic disease.

Immunity should be strengthened not only with medicinal preparations, but also with vitamin complexes, as well as biologically active additives.

In this case, one should not follow a sparing diet, in which the affected internal organs are not injured. A full-fledged vaccination against herpes is currently absent, therefore, with the subsequent weakening of immunity, herpes of internal organs can be activated again. The herpes virus, and especially its damage to internal organs, ranks second in mortality from viral infections, second only to influenza. Therefore, one cannot superficially treat any, even the slightest, manifestations of the disease.

It is important to treat the external manifestations of herpes in time, to increase immunity in order to avoid the deadly acute form of the disease.

  • How to treat ?

At first glance, herpes is a rather harmless disease and every second neuropathologist will say that in our time, half of the population of our country is infected with this virus. But not everything is as harmless as it seems, and it is simply necessary to treat herpes, because it, like any other virus, weakens our immunity, leading to a number of serious diseases. The main and dangerous consequences of virus infection include: damage to the mucous membranes of almost all organs of the human abdominal cavity, violation of the general condition of the patient (dizziness, weakness, insomnia, muscle aches), frequent sore throats and a host of other health problems.

So what if you have been diagnosed with such a disappointing diagnosis, where to go with your problem and where to treat herpes? There are many medical institutions in Moscow that offer their services in the treatment of this ailment. Many patients turn to the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the MMA named after I.M. Sechenov, where they receive the necessary course of therapy in the treatment of various diseases, including herpes. There are many highly qualified specialists working here specializing in the problems of the genital type of the virus, which is very common these days. This type of disease brings to its owner many unpleasant and painful sensations, rashes on the genitals, and many patients are afraid to go to the hospital. But, having started the disease, you can only aggravate your condition, so you need to be treated without hesitation: what if I lubricate it with something, and everything will pass. No, you won't be able to cope with this insidious ailment at home. Only a specialist, seeing the whole picture of the disease, can prescribe the correct therapy and help your grief.

Of course, you should know that once this virus enters the body, it never leaves it. Medicine has not yet learned to completely cure this ailment, it has not been fully investigated. But, of course, it is possible to relieve attacks of relapse and prevent their frequent occurrence. Some people from birth live with this diagnosis, saving themselves only by periodic therapy, others are simply carriers of the virus and until a certain moment do not even feel any signs of the disease in their bodies.

That is why it is so important to undergo examinations that doctors prescribe for us. This virus is very dangerous for a pregnant woman, especially for her developing fetus. Any expectant mother simply must be under observation, undergo a course of therapy, if a virus is found in her and it does not matter what type it is. If you do not know where to treat genital herpes or any other type of herpes, you can contact medical centers in Moscow, such as:

  • Medical center Euro-clinic,
  • GKB36 of the Moscow Department of Health,
  • Medical center "Gerpesklinik",
  • Consultative and diagnostic center "ORIS" and many other specialized institutions.

In medical institutions of this type, it is possible to prevent a number of pathologies that arise in a child even in the womb of an infected mother: herpes of the mucous membranes, genitals, skin of the fetus and newborn baby.

Where does this ailment come from? - you ask. Infection with this virus occurs in several ways.

Historically, it so happened that with herpes, almost never go to a dermatologist. Still, herpesvirus infections most often manifest themselves as seemingly harmless rashes on the lips, less often on other parts of the face and body, and in many cases disappear without a trace. Patients with herpes usually turn to a doctor for help in especially severe cases, or in situations where even a trifling sore seems dangerous and fraught with dire consequences.

Both theoretically and practically, patients who prefer to consult a doctor do the right thing. It is known that even herpes simplex on the lips can in some cases lead to deadly complications, and the dangers of genital herpes, cytomegalovirus infection or the Epstein-Barr virus are all the more well known. What should a person do who finds signs of herpes in themselves? ..

Situations in which a doctor is needed

You should definitely contact a dermatologist in the following cases:

Also, herpes must be monitored by a doctor in patients with immunodeficiency states - AIDS patients, in those who have undergone organ transplantation with artificial immunosuppression. But such patients are almost always observed by a doctor, regardless of whether they have herpes.

Note: only in a clinic is the herpes vaccine administered. Considering that such vaccination is very rare in our country, it is necessary to go to a doctor to carry it out.

When can cold sores be treated at home?

On the other hand, there is no need to consult a dermatologist for rarely manifesting itself labial herpes or herpes on the face. Such relapses pass quickly enough, and to relieve their symptoms, it is enough to use simple antiherpetic ointments.

At home, cytomegalovirus infection and infectious mononucleosis are usually treated. They are characterized by a profuse skin rash, which disappears after 3-4 days. Almost always, these diseases proceed as ARVI, pass by themselves and do not cause complications. For them, in many cases, a generally asymptomatic course is characteristic.

In general, the decision to go to a dermatologist should be made when herpes becomes a really serious problem, and regardless of where it appears.

How to choose the right doctor and clinic?

The main forms of herpes infections are successfully diagnosed almost everywhere, including in ordinary district polyclinics. But in situations with a difficult course of the disease, or in case of problems in diagnosis, it is often necessary to contact specialized clinics or to specialist dermatologists, known as good professionals, in a particular city or area.

Today, you can choose a doctor and make an appointment with him online. For this, convenient services work that allow you to find out the qualifications, specialization and experience of a particular specialist, to get acquainted with patient reviews. An example of such a service in Moscow is ONEDOC. Such a service allows you to choose a doctor who works near your home or a convenient metro station, and then, without queues and the risk of infection from infectious patients, come at the specified time, get advice, and, if necessary, professional help.

In any case, remember: a consultation with a doctor will never hurt, especially with herpes. Even in seemingly trivial cases, the doctor can suggest treatments and medications that will really help. Therefore, if possible, show your herpes doctor.

Gastroenterologists conducted all the examinations - they did not find anything. At the same time, leukocytes were increased for all two years. They even did PET-CT to exclude oncology. Four weeks ago, herpes appeared on the left side of the chest. Were treated with acyclovir table. within two weeks, fucorcin and acyclovir 5% ointment after consultation with a dermatologist. When the crusts began to peel off, the husband realized that the pain that had tormented him for two years had subsided. Now we just treat the affected area with acyclovir 5% ointment, since after fucorcin the skin has become wrinkled.

After and during sex, a red rash appears on the face and body. This is not from friction and not from excitement because there was no such thing, what is this face of a machine operator red as if from nettles?

Herpes treatment

Herpes viral infections (8 varieties) are not as harmless as previously thought. They can be the cause of: female infertility and Alzheimer's disease; uveitis (complicated by glaucoma, cataract, retinal detachment, blindness) and demyelination of nerve fibers (causing mental and neurological disorders, incompatible with life with late treatment); meningitis and gingivostomatitis (often with damage to the vocal cords); induction of oncological growth and progression of atherosclerosis. More common are: "lyabial" (HSV1) and "genital" (HSV2) herpes; chronic fatigue syndrome (Epstein-Barr virus) and CMV infection (one of the causes of lymphagranulomatosis). Herpes viruses are transmitted by contact (including when the fetus passes through the birth canal and with sperm), through household items and by airborne droplets. Particularly painful for patients is genital herpes, which affects the mucous membranes of the labia, anus and glans penis with severe pain and burning. The longer the patient tries to treat himself with various ointments, the worse the prognosis of treatment.

An exacerbation of herpes viral infection is caused by insolation and hypothermia, malnutrition and stressful situations, i.e. a variety of factors causing the injection of an excess portion of intestinal endotoxin (immunoactivator) into the bloodstream, which leads to hyperactivation and then depletion of the immune system.

Treatment of herpes with antiviral drugs (valtrex, famvir, panavir, virolex, acyclovir, etc.) without means of normalizing the concentration of intestinal endotoxin and the activity of antiendotoxin immunity gives only a temporary effect.

The use of "SOIS-technology", recognized by the Session of the General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences as the most important achievement of medical science, in the treatment of herpes-viral infections allows an order of magnitude to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.

Herpetic infections

Herpes infections caused by herpes viruses are recurrent infections. There are two immunological types of herpes simplex virus (HSV). HSV-1 commonly causes lip herpes and keratitis. HSV-2 affects, as a rule, genetics, as well as the skin; transmitted mainly by direct contact with the affected areas, mainly during sexual intercourse. The moment of initial HSV infection often goes unnoticed. The virus persists in a latent state in the nerve ganglia; relapses of herpes sores are triggered by excessive exposure to sunlight, diseases with fever, physical or emotional stress, a weakened immune system, the consumption of certain foods or medications.

In women with HSV-2 infection in late pregnancy, fetal infection can occur, with the development of severe viremia. Sometimes HSV causes severe encephalitis as well as aseptic meningitis syndromes.

In our clinic, we have successfully applied the methodology developed by us for the treatment of various types of herpes. In severe chronic forms, treatment is carried out in a day hospital (from 1 to 3 hours of stay, depending on the severity of the disease) in several stages. We treat diseases caused by herpes simplex virus, shingles, etc.

We achieve an improvement in well-being already on the 5th day of therapy. You can get more detailed information at an interview with a doctor!

Herpes treatment. Institute of General and Clinical Pathology, Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, clinic of professor M.Yu. Yakovleva Moscow

Today, for the layman, herpes is a "fever on the lips", but this is not entirely true. Herpes viral infection is a serious chronic disease that is caused by different types (families) of herpes and, depending on this, herpes viral infections can occur in one form or another and in severity. The Alpha family includes herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 and varicella - zoster, the Beta family includes CMV, and the Gamma family includes the Epstein-Barr virus, the family also includes unclassified herpesvirus type 6, herpesvirus type 7 and type 8 ... Simple labial herpes (herpes of the red border of the lips) infection occurs in early childhood with kissing, but genital herpes HSV2 - at the beginning of sexual activity, more often with sperm. Perinatal infection occurs when the fetus passes through the birth canal. Therefore, it is necessary to treat genital herpes in the prenatal period, and preferably in preparation for pregnancy.

Genital herpes is especially painful for patients. It affects the mucous membranes of the labia, anus, glans penis and causes severe pain and burning in this area. The longer the patient tries to treat himself with various ointments, the worse the prognosis in treatment, the larger the mucosal surface is affected.

An exacerbation of herpes viral infection is associated with several factors: excessive hypothermia or vice versa sun exposure, before menstruation, malnutrition and stressful situations.

The doctor must take a careful history of the patient to take every detail into account when prescribing herpes treatment.

First of all, there should be an individual approach to the treatment of herpes. In the medical standard of treatment, the main drugs in therapy are such antiviral drugs as valtrex, famvir, panavir, virolex, acyclovir, etc., but, unfortunately, in monotherapy they are ineffective, because it is necessary to take into account the individual characteristics of the body and, above all, immunity. person.

Based on the SIS-ELISA test (a method for assessing the immune status), we determine why this particular person contracted herpes, in which place in the body an immune failure occurred.

The result of therapy is a long-term remission of the disease (5-15 years), and with the right lifestyle, you can achieve great success. Annual prevention of chronic herpes infections reduces the risk of developing herpes complications.

Herpetic gingivostomatitis is a deep lesion of the red border of the lips and oral mucosa, vocal cords with their defeat. Herpetic encephalitis - demyelination of nerve fibers, causing mental and neurological disorders. With a late visit to the doctor, coma with a fatal outcome is possible.

Herpetic meningitis is often erased and easy. The patients are recovering. Dangerous herpetic keratitis, leading to retinal detachment and blindness. Herpetic eczema is also a common complication of herpes.

In addition, it has been proven that herpes viral infections can cause cancer.

We treat herpes in several stages and specialize in especially difficult and severe cases. It is based on the author's methodology of Professor M.Yu. Yakovlev and candidate of medical sciences Anikhovskaya I.A. according to the SIS-technology, developed in the laboratory of the Research Institute of Human Morphology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. The cost of treatment is available to everyone. Patients can buy all the drugs used in any pharmacy in the city.

Herpetic centers in Moscow: addresses, opening hours, specialists, reviews

Herpes is a severe viral disease that requires constant monitoring. In most cases, its manifestations seem harmless, and few people pay attention to them, especially if after three days there is no trace of the rash. But in this simplicity lies deceit.

Herpes and its threats

Carriers of type 1 herpes are 95% of the total population of the planet. Almost everyone is periodically faced with a "cold" that poured out on the lips. This is a herpes infection of the first type, it affects the upper torso and limbs. Children become infected by airborne droplets or through household contact at the age of 3 years. The virus infects the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, in severe cases it also affects the internal organs. In almost 80% of cases, the infection does not bring any noticeable concern, most often "disguising" itself as other diseases.

Herpesvirus of the second type affects the lower body, including the mucous membranes, for this reason its second name is genital herpes. According to medical research, by the age of 40, up to 80% of people fall ill with it, while clinical manifestations may not be observed, which does not diminish its danger. Some of them cause a common syndrome called "chronic fatigue", and the virus has a destructive effect on nerves, liver and other internal organs. It bears the greatest danger for pregnant women, provoking pathological miscarriage, fetal freezing, miscarriages, deformities, etc.

Herpetic centers: tasks

Unfortunately, it is still impossible to get rid of the herpes virus, but modern medicine can reduce its activity, stop reproduction and the consequences. For complex treatment, herpetic centers have been established. It makes sense for everyone to undergo a preventive examination, even if the manifestations of the virus occur only two or three times a year, provoked by any external influences (severe stress, hypothermia, vitamin deficiency, etc.).

Treatment and close attention require cases when herpes on the lips appears often, heals slowly, becomes covered with crusts, provokes swelling of the lips and face. Sometimes the virus is deactivated, but there are times when we can talk about a possible infection of the lymph nodes. The sooner the patient turns to a specialized Herpetic Center (Moscow or another city), the sooner the diagnosis will be made. Treatment of any disease is always more expensive than timely preventive measures or early diagnosis, when the consequences have not received threatening forms.

Herpetic centers began to appear about 20 years ago, when specialists had to prove that herpes is a systemic disease that affects the entire body. At the present stage, the course of the disease and the condition of patients have changed not for the better. Most people experience severe psycho-emotional stress, often depression, and the virus has adapted to many drugs, and its effects have become more severe. Correct therapy and early admission to the clinic help to stop the infection in almost 90% of cases, the same percentage of success in treatment is observed in pregnant women. Today, treating herpes without a threat to the development and health of the baby is a completely feasible task.

Multidisciplinary Center

For a long time, the problem of herpesvirus was not given due attention, even practitioners considered it a harmless infection. A close study of the problem was laid at the Moscow City Dermatovenerologic Dispensary in 1987, when an office was opened where medical care was provided to patients with shingles, recurrent herpes and other manifestations of herpesvirus.

The first Herpetic Center (Moscow) was opened in 1992. Today, the medical staff of the institution consists of thirty specialists of the highest category with scientific degrees in medicine. Treatment is carried out in 26 directions in two multidisciplinary clinics. The center unites two medical institutions with legal names - Gerperichesky Center LLC, where they provide consulting and medical services, and the Med-Yutas LLC diagnostic center.

Over the years, the clinic's specialists have gained experience and knowledge in the treatment of the following diseases:

  • Cytomegalovirus infection, shingles.
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (papillomavirus, ureaplasmosis, genital herpes, etc.).
  • Chronic diseases of the genitourinary system, pregnancy pathologies, secondary immunodeficiency, etc.

One of the achievements of the center is the development and publication of guidelines under the general title "Genital herpes in women". In the process of research and clinical work, the author's methods of treatment and diagnostics were created, allowing to achieve the maximum effect in the therapy and diagnosis of the virus.

The Moscow City Antiherpetic Center accepts patients at two addresses:

  • Michurinsky prospect, building 21B.
  • Grimau street, building 10a, building 2.

Diagnostics

Herpetic centers RAMTH conducts diagnostic research in the following areas:

  • Allergology (general, to eosinophilic cationic protein).
  • Virology, research is carried out in more than 80 areas (isolation in cell culture, DNA diagnostics, microbiological and serological studies, rotaviruses, etc.).
  • Functional diagnostics (CTG of the fetus, daily blood pressure monitoring, polysomnography, etc.).

  • Infectious and cytological studies.
  • Functional diagnostics (insomnia, apnea, hypertension, snoring, etc.).

Profile areas of treatment

Herpes was described by Herodotus, who lived a hundred years before our era. He was the first to give a precise definition of the external manifestations of the disease - herpein, which means to crawl. The virus already then manifested itself by spreading all over the body, starting with a small bubble on the lips. Over the centuries, much more has become known about disease and virology in general. But only at the present stage, herpesvirus began to be deeply studied in traditional medical science.

Herpetic centers offer all types of treatment and diagnostics of herpesvirus directly, as well as treat various skin diseases, a number of other viral diseases, and pay a lot of attention to cosmetological problems. Diagnose and prescribe procedures for diseases with which it is customary to contact dermatovenerologic dispensaries.

Herpetic centers see patients every day throughout the year. Directions of treatment:

  • Gynecology. The clinic conducts diagnostics and treatment of sexually transmitted viral diseases (papilloma virus, herpes, syphilis, ureaplasmosis, CMV infection, etc.).
  • Trichology. Patients are received by both centers - the Herpetic Center at Akademicheskaya (Grimau St., 10A) and at Michurinsky Prospect. Diagnostics is carried out using modern methods, treatment is prescribed. Specialization - androgenic alopecia, hair loss, scalp and hair diseases.
  • Dermatovenereology (molluscum contagiosum, genital and herpes zoster, acne, warts, papillomas, STDs, etc.).
  • Venereology (recurrent herpes simplex, mycoplasmosis, gardnerellosis, syphilis, gonorrhea, etc.).
  • Cosmetology (acne, hyperhidrosis, hair loss, injection cosmetology, grooming procedures, etc.).
  • Immunology (vaccination, chronic fatigue syndrome, cytomegalovirus and pregnancy, herpes on the lips, etc.).
  • Hepatology (viral liver diseases).

General directions of treatment

The versatility of the medical problems being solved distinguishes the Herpetic Center on Michurinsky Prospekt. Highly qualified specialists have a comprehensive approach to the treatment of diseases. Clinics practice admission in areas indirectly related to the main profile of the institution:

  • Traditional areas of medicine are hirudotherapy, homeopathy, acupuncture, bioresonance therapy.
  • Ophthalmology (myopia, chalazion, keratitis, glaucoma, cataracts, barley, ophthalmic herpes, etc.).
  • Mammology (diagnostics, research, treatment).
  • General therapy in the areas of cardiology, gastroenterology, somnology, endocrinology, a certified general practitioner is being received.
  • Otolaryngology. Reception is carried out by highly qualified ENT specialists (tympanometry, endoscopy of the nasopharyngeal cavities, laryngoscopy, probing, washing of the ear cavity, cryotherapy, etc.).
  • Neurology (osteopathy, acupuncture).
  • Proctology (diagnostics, surgery for hemorrhoids, etc.).
  • Urology (research, treatment, procedures).
  • Psychotherapy (individual reception, group work).

Enlightenment

The sphere of activity of the center's specialists includes not only the treatment of various forms of herpes and other viral diseases, but also educational activities. Doctors conduct seminars and lectures for their colleagues from other fields of medicine. The joint work with the MF Vernadsky Research Institute was successful, within the framework of which a two-year course of an educational school for doctors “Herpetic infection. Genital herpes and other STIs ”, as well as four conferences, which were attended by more medical practitioners.

Methodological and teaching aids were issued for universities and medical institutions. In 2006, the textbook "Sexually Transmitted Infections" was published. Methodological manuals have been prepared and published for practicing specialists: “Herpetic infection in obstetrics and perinatology”, “Genital herpes in women. Herpetic centers in St. Petersburg provide a full range of diagnostic, advisory and treatment services for simple virus types 1 and 2, chickenpox, shingles and other herpes-type diseases. The city virological center has the status of an Expert laboratory; it carries out specialized diagnostics of viral diseases, which include herpes. Reviews

Many patients turned to the Herpetic Center on Michurinsky Prospekt for help. Reviews with positive ratings were given for the quality medical care, courtesy and attentiveness of the doctors. The visitors said that they were satisfied with the level of service - they almost never had to wait for an appointment with a doctor, the office door opened at exactly the appointed time, without queues. For a consultation, an appointment is required, the follow-up appointment and diagnostic procedures are prescribed by the attending physician.

A high level of professionalism of practicing specialists is noted. Many patients have previously applied to other clinics, but they managed to get real help, correct diagnosis and effective treatment only here. The Herpes Center on Grimau demonstrates the same high level of service quality, adding comfort to patients. It is possible to contact the clinic that is more conveniently located for visiting.

Herpetic center on Michurinsky prospect or on the street. The patients liked Grimau for the price level - they are average in the city, the ability of specialists to select medicines with the desired effect and at a weighted cost. At the request of the visitor, expensive prescription drugs are replaced with more budgetary ones, but no less effective and of high quality.

Not everyone had a successful trip to the Herpetic Center. Reviews with negative stories relate to unpleasant drug fraud, some had to face an erroneous diagnosis, which was followed by long-term treatment with negative health consequences. Some patients complained about the standard approach to the treatment of herpes, when, having paid an impressive amount of money for diagnostic procedures, patients received the same treatment regimen as in any other clinic.

In general, positive assessments prevail in reviews of the Herpetic Center. Most of the patients in the clinics received professional help not only for the problems of both types of herpes, but also for many other serious illnesses. Perhaps medical failures are due precisely to the fact that doctors are more likely to deal with severe cases of health problems, and therefore routine diagnoses are rarely taken into account.

Many good words about the specialists were said by women who came to the center during pregnancy. Most of them worried about their condition and the health of the child in connection with the herpes disease. The clinic prescribed treatment, which helped not only to preserve and bear a healthy child, but also to avoid complications in subsequent periods.

Herpes Prevention

In recent years, a medical method of vaccination has appeared and is being actively introduced, it is often offered to everyone, without exception, both sick and healthy. The vaccine used for herpes has an immuno-strengthening effect, it does not protect against the virus, you can get infected even after vaccination. According to the rules, it is prescribed for people with severe forms of the disease who have frequent relapses. Vaccination will not harm a healthy person, but it will not be able to protect either.

The best prevention of any kind of herpes is to strengthen the immune system and adhere to the rules of hygiene. Nobody cancels the general rules that help to avoid most of the diseases:

  • Frequent hand washing. If there is contact with a person infected with herpesvirus, then an antibacterial soap for hygiene procedures should be chosen. It must be remembered that the virus spreads in the mucous membranes, so you cannot use dishes, linens, towels and other items of the patient. The spread of the virus in the genitourinary system is especially dangerous.
  • Compliance with a sleep and rest routine helps to strengthen the nervous system, make it more resistant to stress, pressure changes and other negative manifestations.
  • It is necessary to include a large amount of fresh vegetables and fruits in the diet, according to their seasonal ripening in the region of residence. A variety of greens added to food preserves and strengthens health.
  • Hardening. One of the most important procedures to create a stable immunity to many viruses, including herpes. If the infection has already occurred, then it will not go anywhere, but its manifestations can be very mild or completely disappear.
  • Sports activities will not only keep you in good physical shape, increase the endurance of the whole organism, but also add vitality, optimism, which is also important. Experts note that fitness hobby should not be “fanatical” in nature, moderate, three times a week, training provides the body with the necessary charge of health, optimism and energy. It is worth giving preference to jogging, swimming, race walking or just long active walks in the fresh air, currently this type of exercise is called cardio training.

Things to avoid to avoid getting herpes or to keep it to a minimum:

  • The use of high-quality means of protection, as well as the constancy of communication with one partner, helps to exclude genital herpes.
  • When visiting the bathroom in a house where there is a herpes patient or public restrooms, it is necessary to disinfect the toilet seat - the virus remains viable for four hours on plastic.
  • Overheating and hypothermia must be avoided, these conditions are catalysts for the activation of the virus.
  • Strengthen your nerves and avoid stressful situations.
  • At the slightest manifestation of herpes, you should consult a doctor in order to avoid complications and a chronic form of the course of the disease.

Herpes Is a viral inflammatory disease, manifested by characteristic rashes of grouped vesicles on the mucous membranes and skin. Its causative agent is the herpes simplex virus (HSV), which is present in the body of about 90% of the world's population, but only 5% of them provoke the development of symptoms of the disease.

The Herpesviridae family of viruses is capable of causing life-threatening infections, transplacental pathologies that can cause childhood deformities. In severe cases, herpes damages the central nervous system.

  • mucous faces;
  • central nervous system (meningitis, encephalitis);
  • eyes (keratitis, conjunctivitis);
  • skin;
  • mucous membranes of the genitals.

Relapses of the disease occur on the wings of the nose, the red border of the lips, gums, the inner surface of the cheeks and lips, forehead, and eyelids. The most common location for the virus is in the corners of the mouth.

Herpes classification:

  • HSV type 1 - herpes on the lips, on the tongue, on the cheeks, on the palate (you can see how they look in the photo of herpes). At the site of infection, edema occurs, bubbles appear, inside which serous fluid is contained. For 7 days, the patient experiences burning sensation, discomfort. The body temperature may rise. Herpes simplex virus type 1 is the most common. It is activated in case of general hypothermia, colds.
  • HSV type 2 - genital herpes (genital). It is transmitted through intercourse. It happens:
    • Primary - develops upon contact of a healthy person with an infected person.
    • Secondary - herpes in the intimate area has a recurrent course, exacerbated several times a year.
  • Herpes on the body (type 3) - shingles. In children, it is the cause of chickenpox. In adults under the age of 35, it negatively affects the condition of the cranial and spinal nerve fibers. Inflammation with herpes of the third type is localized in places where large nerves pass. On the affected areas, small bubbles form, as if encircling the body. This form rarely affects the mucous membranes. Symptoms include itching and burning of the skin, fever, neurological / headaches.
  • Herpes type 4 (Epstein-Barr virus) - tonsillitis, swollen lymph nodes. The patient feels severe sore throat, malaise, dizziness. Body temperature is high for about one week. On the tonsils, vesicles characteristic of herpes are formed, filled with a transparent liquid.
  • Herpes type 5 (cytomegalovirus). It is asymptomatic or affects the central nervous system, internal organs (kidneys, liver, lungs, pancreas). In most cases, infection occurs during intercourse or at home. Also, cytomegalovirus is transmitted from the mother to the fetus during childbirth, while feeding the baby with breast milk. Herpes simplex virus type 6. Leads to the occurrence of lymphoma, lymphosarcoma, hemocytoblastoma.
  • Herpes type 7 is the cause of chronic fatigue syndrome. It can persist in the human body from childhood, but be activated only with a significant weakening of the immune system. In this case, the number of lymphocytes may correspond to the norm, but due to the negative effects of the herpes virus, they cannot fully function. As a result, the person constantly feels tired. Over time, there are disorders of intelligence, memory, depressive disorders.
  • Herpes type 8. Diagnosed only by PCR. It is found exclusively in the cells of the genitourinary system and the prostate gland.

Herpes causes

The herpes simplex virus is transmitted by contact with the body fluids of an infected person. The transmission of the disease cannot be ruled out during the period when there are no symptoms of herpes during skin contact (especially if the skin is injured).

  • non-compliance with hygiene rules;
  • sex with a stranger;
  • general hypothermia / overheating of the body;
  • kissing a person with herpes;
  • use of public toilets;
  • living in undeveloped countries;
  • low social / economic status.

At room temperature in the external environment and normal air humidity, the herpes simplex virus persists for about a day. At a temperature of 52 ° C, it is inactivated after half an hour. At low temperatures (down to -70 ° C) it is stable for 5 days. On metal surfaces, the herpes virus survives for 2 hours.

Herpes Symptoms

Herpes simplex is always a cluster of bubbles on the inflamed skin, inside of which fluid is visible.

  • weakness;
  • burning and itching of the skin;
  • chills (sometimes)
  • The stage of tingling (the skin at the site of the lesion begins to itch a little). You can avoid the progression of the disease by using an antiviral ointment ("Acyclovir").
  • The stage of inflammation (painful blisters appear, gradually increasing in size).
  • Ulceration stage (blisters burst, ulcers form in their place).
  • The stage of scabbing (crusts appear over the sores).

With herpes zoster, pain occurs along the inflamed nerve. Migraines can also occur. After a few days, vesicles appear on the skin, in which a transparent content (later it is replaced by bloody pus). A patient with shingles has swollen lymph nodes and a rise in body temperature. Neuralgia symptoms can persist for several months.

Primary genital herpes is initially asymptomatic. An infected person does not know that he is sick and continues to infect others. Symptoms appear after 2-10 days of the incubation period. These are rashes on the skin of the external genital organs, inside the vagina / urethra, on the legs, thighs. In women, the disease can worsen before menstruation - bubbles appear even on the buttocks.

If you find yourself with similar symptoms, see your doctor immediately.
It is easier to prevent a disease than to deal with the consequences.

Diagnosis of herpes

Diagnosis of herpes simplex is based on the clinical picture. If there are rashes on the genitals, the disease is differentiated from syphilis.

  • virological methods;
  • PCR (polymerase chain reaction);
  • method for assessing the immune status;
  • cytomorphological methods;
  • detection of antibodies using ELISA (determination of the presence of protective Ig G and Ig M antibodies in the blood).

How to cure herpes

Herpes is a chronic disease, but it must be treated without fail.

  • antipyretic drugs;
  • antimicrobial agents;
  • local anesthetic ointments and creams;
  • immunostimulants.
  • "Acyclovir" ("Zovirax") - prevents the herpes virus from multiplying in cells. Available in the form of creams, solutions, tablets.
  • "Famciclovir" ("Famvir") - destroys the strains of the virus Herpes zoster and Herpes simplex.
  • "Valacyclovir" ("Valtarex") - suppresses the symptoms of herpes, prevents its reproduction. More effective than Acyclovir.
  • Panavir is an active biological polysaccharide. Eliminates pain and itching within 2 days.
  • "Flavozid" is a syrup for the treatment of HSV.
  • "Proteflazid" - drops for the treatment of herpes.

Herpes during pregnancy is best treated with traditional medicine recipes. They help to eliminate the rash and do not negatively affect the woman's immune system.

Traditional methods of treating herpes:

  • Lubricate the affected skin with fir oil every 2 hours.
  • Cauterize the bubbles on the lips with propolis tincture, then treat with calendula ointment.
  • Pour half a teaspoon of tea leaves with a glass of boiling water. Insist until the tea has cooled. Moisten cotton wool in the tea leaves and apply to the bubbles. The procedure is repeated 3-4 times a day.
  • For several days, lubricate herpetic blisters with earwax.
  • Treat the affected skin with camphor oil.
  • Prepare a collection from the roots of aralia, penny, leuzea, licorice, string herb, chamomile flowers, alder cones (take all components in equal parts). 2 tbsp plant raw materials pour 1/2 liter of boiling water. Insist in a thermos for 12 hours. With the received medicine, treat herpetic vesicles.

Why herpes is dangerous

Herpes in pregnant women often leads to intrauterine infection of the fetus. If herpetic vesicles appear on the cervix, infertility may develop. Medicine knows cases of herpes lesions of the pelvic structures (ganglionitis, neuritis, pelvic sympathetic).

Herpes Prevention

  • have a permanent sexual partner;
  • use condoms;
  • treat areas of the body that can get the herpes virus with antiseptic solutions such as Miramistin;
  • wash your hands after handling herpes-affected skin;
  • wash your hands after visiting public places, toilets, traveling by public transport;
  • observe the rules of personal hygiene;
  • exclude oral sex with an unfamiliar partner;
  • do not moisten contact lenses with saliva;
  • do not use other people's dishes, clothes.

To prevent the spread of herpes, infected people should not open the bubbles and peel off the crusts that form on the lesion.

Herpes vaccines:

Specific prevention of herpes is the introduction of the vaccine "Vitagerpavac". On the territory of Russia, it has been used by doctors for more than ten years. This is the only drug in the world that is used both for the treatment and for the prevention of the development of relapses of herpes types 1 and 2.

Inactivated antigens of the herpes virus are a part of "Vitagerpavak". The therapeutic effect of the agent is to stimulate cellular immunity and is aimed at suppressing the virus. It has been proven that intradermal injections of the vaccine are well tolerated by patients and guarantee the development of long-term and active immunity.
