History

Jove learned about World of Tanks in a computer club, where he worked as an administrator - the guy started playing tanks on a nearby computer. Signed up for an account the same night.

The nickname "Jove" has been attached to Constantine for a long time and means - Jupiter (the supreme god in the ancient Roman pantheon, translated from English).

At first he played like the very last bottom, but Cyril DeSeRtod taught Jov to bend over, after which he began to write guides on tanks and maps in LiveJournal. One fine day Kleineslon(co-author of several issues of Tank Academy from WG), invites Jov to record a video. Jov's first guide was a video about the M46 Patton in the Arctic.

Jove gained his popularity thanks to the Best Replays of the week, in addition to which there were his guides, as well as from Flash, Gleborg, Murazor, Isopantser and others. After that, Wargaming made an offer - to make streams on tanks, but since Jov's computer was shit, we had to look for a person who would make a picture. It turned out to be a player under the nickname ___KRAN___.

And so it started. Wargaming made orders for video guides on tanks and streams dedicated to certain events, and Konstantin and his friends made them. The goal of the developers was to occupy the Youtube space that was empty at that time, and the streamers received simply space information support from the WG media platforms: public posts, blogs and, of course, the official website.

To date, the Jove modpack is the most popular collection of mods for World of Tanks. However, Jove is not a mod maker - he just put together the best work in his wrapper.

Introduction

So, today everyone, well, or almost everyone, knows the Odessa bender - jov. He comments on Igromir, writes down guides, shares tactics, secrets and methods of bending. In general, this is one of the most famous VOD "clothings in the World of Tanks. Some say that he was born with a tangent from a headset instead of a navel, others echo that he was born in a tank, and that is why he is so incredibly rushing into World of Tanks, but I dug up some details that lift the veil of secrecy about the appearance of Jova in tanks.

So, let's begin

In general, it all started quite a long time ago, in one so-so computer club, in which Jov worked as an administrator at that time. Work in such a club, you understand, is so-so, but as a second one, it suited me perfectly. The very first job was nothing more than the protection and cleaning of a certain territory. I had to live in the same place, in that "territory", since Jov, as a real citizen of Odessa, made a little money, or rather made a profit from reselling apartments. That is, everything is simple on the fingers - you sell your apartment, buy a dead one cheaper, put it in order, sell it, pocket the difference, buy a dead one, and so on. However, this time it didn’t work out - Jov contacted the new building, and there either the deadlines were delayed, or something else, in general, there was a problem with housing, and he, through his acquaintances, got a job as a watchman, and so they don’t pay so hot for such work, I had to find another job.

Naturally, as I said, the computer club was so-so, but in general it didn’t really soar for Kostya - there is a salary, and there is also a free computer, as well as a free Internet, and this could not but rejoice.

This is about prehistory, but how did Konstantin learn about tanks, or rather about the world of tanks, you ask? And everything is very simple - once Jov saw on a nearby monitor, his colleague, TANKS, was playing there! Can you imagine his shock? Cool tanks, sickly graphics, and all this drives, shoots and destroys each other!!! Of course, Kostya became interested in the new game, it was like a breath of fresh air among all sorts of palladins, elves and other RPG crap.

He immediately registered in the game by choosing his nickname Jove, just once upon a time Kostya, playing some game, found out that Jove is Jupiter in English.

I opened it, started playing, and immediately a lot of questions arose - what to download, what tanks, what nation, and so on. In general, I chose Jove of the USSR in order to know the power of the winners of the Second World War ... yes, it’s closer somehow, to my liking, so to speak ...

Of course, he played as the last, well, or the penultimate bottom (it turns out that he didn’t start bending from the first battle!), Because he didn’t know either tactics or strategy, the features of tanks (their weak and strong points), but what tactics, if a person simply didn’t understand , and did not even know about the existence of the lower armor plate. According to the first, Kostya thought that the problem was the lack of a heavy load in his hangar, but the guesswork evaporated with the advent of the KV-1, then he was also the KV-2. But he was taken apart by the moment, since he did not know much and did not understand (see above).

So he was bent for quite a long time, but one day, on one of the sunny days, Jov met fellow countrymen in the game chat - dudes from Odessa. By that time, I don’t know by what miracle, Kostya already had a KV-3, and with the joint efforts of a chic heavyweight and like-minded people from Odessa, Jov began to inflict at least some damage. A historic event took place - the first shot at the IS-1 with damage, fortunately there was no limit, now Jov became necessary for his team.

Now it’s more or less, rather less, but somehow experience was earned (it was earned before, but now it’s more noticeable), and Kostya was explored just a magnificent Russian heavyweight - IS-3, around the same time he met DeSerTod " om, who was then a member of the RED-E clan, in which he bent everything alive on the GK, and what was not alive he moved and bent in. So Jov began to ride with Desertod and gain mind-reason.

Naturally, it would be foolish to assume that Kostya did not try to get a place in the clan described above, Dessertod fussed over, and he was accepted for a trial period, after which the regulations were issued - he did not grow up, but with Kirill (DeSerTod) they continued to ride and Kostya downloaded a full set of tankers - Fri, strands and artillery, of course, everything from the USSR.

Let's go back a little. Jov started playing around 2010, because he really liked the game, plus he broke up with his girlfriend (we won’t go into what and how it happened there - I don’t like digging into dirty laundry), and he decided to forget himself in the game.

Kostya spent the summer of 2011 like a normal kid - the sea, girls and beer. Then he met Dessertod live. There was already a new odnushka in Cheryomushki, and Jov also got a computer desk, and Kirill practically handed him a used computer. A bright streak began in the life of the future nagibator - he changed jobs, now he has become a courier in logistics, they paid quite handsomely, and this is understandable - an abundance of orders gave confidence in the future. In the fall, Jov got cold to the tanks, judge for yourself - nothing new in the game: no tanks, no game modes - NOTHING, Kostya even wondered whether to sell the account, and according to rough estimates, he found out the price - about three hundred bucks. He almost broke up with his acc, but something stopped him.

At that time, Jov actively communicated in LiveJournal of the World of Tanks, or rather helped novice gamers: he wrote guides and tips, described tactics, etc. All this continued until Konstantin saw an interesting proposal in the comments: "Jov, why don't you make a tank-themed video?", and he thought, really, why not write it down!?

And so his first vidos appeared - "Patton on the map of the Arctic". The reaction was ambiguous - half of the audience confidently liked and praised the novice water grower, while the other half of the audience mocked Jov for the huge number of swear words and negative attitude in the video, but despite such a division of opinions, Kostya definitely decided that video guides are much more interesting than just articles in LiveJournal .

This is how Jove came to World of tanks and started uploading his video guides to YouTube. Look forward to the continuation of this fascinating story.

was with you Alexbass312005, good fights and peaceful dreams.

Hey! Many of you have seen and submitted recordings of your fights to the WoT: Best replays of the week program. At the end of the broadcasts, the author Kirill Oreshkin presented high-quality VODs of excellent players as a bonus Vspishka , Jove , Iso Panzer. You are already familiar with the creativity of the player Vspishka, the RED Aces (aces) clan.

Jov's latest creation is a leisurely interview with a World of Tanks producer. A lot of questions were raised, accurate first-hand answers were received. I was especially interested in the conversation with 1:38:00 (one hour and 38 minutes) about mods for the game in general and about the expansion of the combat interface (eXtended Visualization Mod) and the attitude of the project developers towards it.

Next will be the movie that Jov shot. But, if it is convenient for you to watch movies and movies online, and one of the first to review new movies, then the site has all this and much more. Watch online without registration. Enjoy watching!

Interview: World Of Tanks General Producer Mikhail "Storm" Zhivets

Description:

Fizkult-hello, dear viewers!

Here is the second episode of my Interview program and I have a special guest in my studio - the general producer of our favorite project Mikhail Zhivets, also known to you under the nickname Storm.

In this interview you will learn a lot of interesting, useful and just funny. Mikhail will answer my most tricky questions, parry with dignity all my attempts at fat trolling and tell a lot of insider information.

In this release:

1. Formation of the World Of Tanks project: what, how, why. Why they abandoned elves in favor of tanks. Why 15x15 and not solo quests. Will there be changes in the setting in the future. New battle modes and their features.

2. Perception of the project by various players: why do Russians like hardcore, Americans like service, and Chinese like “golden tanks”?

3. Everyone is shelling!: communication between developers and players. How it was during alpha and beta testing, and how it is now. What difficulties do you have to overcome first when trying to convey your opinion to an adequate minority. Cross-section of opinions and informal platforms.

3.1. Cases of disagreement in the camp of developers when answering user questions - a mess in the office or something else?

4. Nation branches, tank balance, customization, the role of high-explosive shells in the game - we are discussing various small nuances with a very serious look!

5. Maps, new and old. Advantages and disadvantages. Which maps will appear in the future, and which ones will be changed due to poor terrain balance. Swamp and Komarin - terrible on the outside, good on the inside?

5. The tank damage model and the ill-fated “NOT PUNCHED!”: We discuss in detail with Mikhail why the projectile goes into the tracks, low-level tanks fail to penetrate from the top guns. Analysis of a specific example.

6. Global map - peppy, tanky conquest of territories or "black market" and anal slavery?

7. Economic system World Of Tanks - what happened to the long-promised innovation?

8. Modules and perks - what the developers plan to change and add. Complex coefficients of mechanics and their simplification.

9. Mod life in the World of Tanks - skins, sights, deer gauge, tracers, transparent bush-trees. What is good and what is bad. We discuss mods and their pros and cons.

10. The infamous BigWorld engine - what, how and why. Are the developers planning to switch to CryEngine 3 or Frostbite 2.0. What will be the graphics/physics changes and when?

11. Esports and World of Tanks - the impossible is possible. Everyday life of various championships and the difficulties they face. Will there be special clients, modes or maps for competition?

12. Plans for the future and their priority.

14. VODs, manuals and other video guides - Wargaming.net's attitude to people's creativity, their plans for the future in this regard, and just Storm's personal opinion.

15. And most importantly - how developers like to call bad players names in random and why 😉
