True and fiction
Despite the fact that from the moment of the events described, decades have already passed, about the miracle of the "petrified sortie of Zoe" still walk the stories in which the sorcelessly mixed with non-relieves. But on the basis of materials collected as a result of a journalistic investigation conducted by the author, it can be argued that in fact there was simply no so-called "miracle stone zoe" in January 1956 in Kuibyshev. But what then happened here? What real facts are in the history of "petrified zoe"?
First fact. Nobody has never been challenged that from 14 to 20 January 1956 in the city of Kuibyshev at the house number 84 on Chkalovskaya Street was really unprecedented before the accumulation of people (estimated, from several thousand to several tens of thousands of people). All of them were brought here with oral messages (rumors) that the specified house allegedly stands a certain petrified girl who performed blasphemy, dancing with an icon in his hands. At the same time, the name of Zoya during the specified events was not called by anyone, but it appeared in relation to this story for decades later. The surname Karnukhov at the main character also arose at all in the 90s.
As for the reasons for this pillar, then, according to experts, there was a rare, but actually and repeatedly described in the literature a socio-psychological phenomenon called "Mass Psychosis". This is called the phenomenon when in favorable for that social conditions, a careless phrase abandoned in the crowd or even one word can provoke massive unrest, riots and even hallucinations. In this case, the graceful soil for such a psychosis was the political situation in the country, which established in the conditions of the Khrushchev Thaw and the cultivation of the cult of Stalin's personality, when people felt real relaxation from the state in relation to believers.
The second fact. In the Samara regional state archive of socio-political history (the former archive of the regional commissioning of the CPSU), the unlaigned transcript of the 13th Kuibyshev Regional Party Conference, which took place on January 20, 1956 was kept. As for the search and punishment of those responsible for the "wild case", they were found on the same party conference in the person of secretaries on the ideology of the regional and city committees of the CPSU. This is what is written in unlaigned transcript:
"Today Tov. Efremov told a miracle. This is a shame for the regional party conference. The culprit number 1 is TOV. Therefore, the most believable in this case looks the above version of the mass psychosis, which provoked a crowd of people for mass unrest, riots and even on hallucinations.
The unconditional fiction in this story can be attributed, for example, constituent in the media stories about ambulance doctors, who allegedly tried to revive the root in place or to make it injections, as well as the militiamen, as if visited in the legendary room and from the Wamg seen Dried. In the same row, there are also legends about a certain Saint Starta, which in those days it seems to come to Kuybyshev from far away the monastery and somehow communicated with the "petrified dealer." In fact, there is no real evidence of the existence of all the people listed above, and there is only a crowd of gossip.
At the same time, it is very sad that interest in the events in Kuibyshev many years ago and before, and now they show anyone, but not official science. It is possible that if the phenomenon of the occurrence of rumors about Zoe was investigated by scientists, now there would be so many fiction and frank falsifications around it.

Where the author used the plot of this Kuibyshev urban legend. The film takes place in the fictional city of Greekansk, and some mythical personals appear in it, among which Nikita Khrushchev and the then leader of our country. The character, called this name, also in reality never existed, since the genuine Khrushchev during the events described above in Kuybyshev did not come, and, accordingly, could not see the "stone girl", and even more so could not behave in Hamski in Relations with subordinates, which is also shown in the creation of Pescin (Fig. 12).
But, however, despite all the faults listed above, at the very end of this fantastic films on the screen floats the titers, from which it follows that the film is filmed on the basis of real events that occurred in 1956 in the city of Kuibyshev. It looks around the same way as if the authors of the famous film bar of the "sacheling immortal" in the credits to her wrote that the film was filmed on the basis of events that occurred in Russia in 1237. If then it happened, then the director "Kashchei of the Immortal" Alexander Row would simply raise on laughter (Fig. 13, 14).
But for the film, the current spectators are among the seriousness, and many people are considered almost a documentary source of Soviet history. It is sad that this way our master of cinema put his hand to promote a frank obscurantist.
Whether to surprise the fact that in September 2010, the authorities of our city at the initiative of the former mayor of Samara Viktor Tarkhova adopted a decree on the installation on the street of the Chkalov monument Nikolay the Wonderworker. In fact, this decision officials signed only in the footsteps of crowd rumors described above that for the official authorities it looks at least strange.

One way or another, the People's Molva testifies that more than a week around the "terrible" house was on duty, reinforced police patrols, who did not allow any other outsiders to the scene of the incident. And the people remained a variety of legends about those events. Including this: when some of the curious asked patrol, how truthful stories about the petrified girl, some of the policemen only silently took the caps. Under her curious on her head, a young man saw a thick gray ... Only by the spring of 1956, the interest of Sammartsev was so much so much that the police post at the house number 84 was decided to remove.

Third version: There was no miracle nor the very zoe
Which then became not just an eyewitness of a "wild case", but an active participant of this incident, because at that time he lived in the house number 84 on Chkalovskaya Street, next to the already mentioned Claudia Bolonkin. His story about those events by the author recorded in 2001.
At that time I worked as a senior operator at the Kuibyshevsky refinery. Then, in a few years, I switched to Soviet work - was the head of the registry office department of the regional executive committee, then the head of the Department of Finance Planning Department of State Reserves. I was silent about this story as much as 45 years. Why? Yes, because it believed that no one would believe me. But now I still decided to tell about her truth, because in the press recently it was circulating too many fairy tales and absurdities about the "petrified zoe".
In January 1956, I lived in Apartment No. 7 at home number 84 on Chkalovskaya Street. This is only the so called - the apartment, and in fact it was a separate house, stood in the courtyard, on whose gates was written the address: "Chkalovskaya Street, 84". I was then 27 years old. And in Apartment number 5 (this was also a separate house) was the same Claudia Petrovna Bologonkin. She really was son Vadim, a pocket, who was sitting on prisons several times. Those memorable events began on January 17, 1956, on Tuesday, and not at all on the 14th, as it is now written in newspapers. So, in the evening, on January 17, I came from work - and saw two neighborings at the gate. One of them was Fominova Catherine from Apartment No. 3, the second - Bolonkin. I was still very worried about the fact that at night people from this crowd went around the house with torches, and said: "It is necessary to burn this to the devilish place." So I ran all night and watched us not to fall. And then, in the spring, in the setting snow around the house, I found dozens of such incended torches.
On weekends through the scored gate, they tried to climb a total of fifty people, but with neighboring guys managed to fight back. However, people still periodically broke through the yard with one, then on the other hand. I remember, one middle-aged man was broken into the house to Bolonkina, in a military white serpent. It turned out to the point that at the factories and in other organizations the whole commissions were collected, in which members of the party, and trade union figures, and transit of production, sometimes up to 20 people. All of them also came to our house and climbed through the gate, and at the same time they said that they were the official delegation. I saw that these people would seem to be decent, and spoke to them: "Well, pass."
I was presented to me that we, they say, a delegation from such a plant. If among them there were people party, I asked them: "Do you believe in God?" They answered: "No". And as for rumors that, in the court, the policemen were allegedly with the heads, there was no such thing. And what was? At the very beginning of the events, the police tried at least free from the crowd a carriageway. But when hiking policemen tried to clean up, they did not succeed. " I answered him: "Do not pistol. I have my own rifle, I will find out. " And really beat off.
The pillar of near our house ended somehow. A week later, or at most - ten days later the crowd disappeared. The movement of transport along the streets of Chkalovskaya and Artsibushevskaya was restored. And around the house number 84, only smoothly drowning snow, beaten glass, broken gates of daisy walls remained smoothly. Many residents have stolen different things, mostly small, but someone has access to clothing and shoes - caps, mittens, shoes and even coats. But even after that, for many years in a row, anyone who would go on Chkalovskaya Street still stopped and looked into the courtyard. In this house I lived until 1966, and therefore we moved to another apartment.
The most awesome in this story can be considered the fact that none of the tenants of our house could find out where this rumor was taken about the petrified girl. Personally, I believe that it was organized by the order of the Church. By the way, the name "Zoya" in relation to this legendary "living statue" in the midst of the events of 1956 and immediately after them were never mentioned - even those who were in religious ecstasy to our homes. This name appeared much later, and it is most likely, too, is someone in fiction.
Nobody from the tenants of our house was also known and surname Karnukhov. True, Maria Danilovna Karpushkin lived in the first apartment of the house No. 84, who had a daughter, but the girl was called Tamara, but not Zoya. So the emergence of her name for me is still the mysterious side of this story.
... Unfortunately, in 2006, Vladimir Sergeevich died, leaving after himself only the title title of the conversation (this text with the signature of VS Chegurova has). His former house (Apartment No. 7 House No. 84 on Chkalovskaya Street) was demolished in the 60s, after the hear family moved to another apartment.

In it, I unexpectedly read about the strange incident, which happened for several years in our city of Kuibyshev, and not just in Kuibyshev, and on Chkalovskaya Street, on which we were then lived, and more - in the neighboring house with us number 84. I remember that in my childhood, all grandmothers from two of our courtyards often sat in front of the house on a bench and talked about life, about that and about this. And at the same time I remember that people who passed by, often they asked them, whether it was a house in which the petrified girl was. And this question has always caused discontent with our grandmothers. They started talking to one voice - no, no one was standing here, and there was no girl at all, these are all rumors and superstitions.
From mom and grandmother, I know that in those January days on the street in front of our house for several days in a row, a great many people were collected, there was an equestrian militia, and all people sought to get into the house number 84, to see the petrified girl. And since the tenants of the house locked the gate, leading to the courtyard of the house number 84, and did not let the crowd to themselves, the gathered tried to go to them through the yard of our house number 86, since the fence between them was not yet installed, and the passage here was free.
According to mom and grandmother, it all started completely unexpectedly. Nothing foreshadowed the pillar, but once the January day at the house number 84 suddenly people began to gather. Each hour, they became more and more, and in the evening there were already several hundred people on the street. Why they gathered here, at first no one knew, and mom and grandmother this cluster of the people were very frightened, especially since some suspicious personalities tried at this time more than once tried to penetrate the apartments of houses No. 84 and 86, and in our apartment too .

So it lasted about a week until the crowd on Chkalovskaya Street did not dissolve. At the same time, Bologunkin said that neither the KGB officers or the police, and no ambulance brigades for the days did not come to her and did not take anyone, and all this later rumors are unknown from where those who have arisen.
In his stories for us, children, Bologonkin repeatedly stated that there was never any stone girl in this house, and what rumors had about her, she did not know. But at the same time, she expressed the following assumption about this. Over the course of several years, Bologunkin has repeatedly handed over the room in its apartment with different residents. Shortly before the events described, she had a priest, or, as he spoke about him - pop. But from what exactly he was coming, or from which church, she did not know. As for the name of the girl who allegedly danced with an icon and because of this petrified, then, according to mom and grandmother, at the time of the events they themselves were not called by anyone. They said simply - "Stone Girl". The name "Zoya" in the context of this incident appeared much later when I studied at school and could aware what happened. I have an assumption why this name arose. Indeed, in early 1956, in one of the buildings, which stood in the courtyard of House No. 84 and was listed as Apartment No. 10, a woman with two daughters lived, and one of them was named Zoya. I don't remember her last name, but I know that in the time of my childhood it was already an adult and worked at the Maslennikov plant. But she has nothing to do with the legendary stone zoe, since this girl lived here for a long time, was alive and healthy, never in any secret hospitals or mental hospitals, and moreover - then married, gave birth to a child and left somewhere with husband. It is possible that after many years in the process of further increasing rumors about the incident on the Chkalovskaya Street, the most "petrified Zoya" was precisely her name. Where now is this real zoya from the neighboring yard, I do not know.
Surname "Karnukhova" in connection with these events I say nothing now. Not a single family and a single person with such a surname at the time of my childhood or in our nor in neighboring houses lived. They did not know people with that surname either my mother nor my grandmother. So about the reasons for the appearance of the legendary "stone zoe" the names "Karnukhov" I can't say anything definite.
As for Vladimir Sergeyevich Chegurova, the tenant of Apartments No. 7 House number 84, I remember him perfectly. He lived in a separate structure, which stood in the depths of the courtyard, even further from the entrance than the house of Bolonkina (he is the house "Stone Zoe"). Somewhere in the first half of the 60s, when I studied in primary grades, the woven got a comfortable apartment and moved from this yard. And in a year or two, their former house, which by that moment was almost collapsed from the windiness. So apartments number 7 in the courtyard of the house number 84 from that time there is no more.
My mother died in 1991, and until the very moment of death, she repeatedly told me and others that all rumors about the "stone girl" are nothing more than rumors. Shortly before her death, at a perestroika wave of publicity, articles on the events that occurred in January 1956 began to appear in local newspapers on Chkalovskaya Street. As a rule, in all these publications, it was stated that the "stone zoya" really existed, and the KGB and the authorities were hidden all the past years and to this day hide this "miracle" from the people.
Mom was very indignant by all these publications. Once she read an article about the "petrified Zoe" in the newspaper "Blagovest," where it was argued that no one of the witnesses of those events alive is no longer there, and therefore the fact of the "miracle" nobody can confirm none to refute. Mom then stated that she wanted to write a letter to a newspaper, as she was a living witness of those events and could tell about how it was actually then. Unfortunately, soon after that, Mom died, but I can confirm all her words and stories about this so-called "miracle", which was not really not.
